Shingle Creek Regional Trail (FL)
very disjointed trail
The two parts of (the northern section of) this trail could not be more different. From Eagles Nest Park to Millenia is along busy roads, crossing streets, poorly paved, unmarked, and unmaintained. But then starting at Artegon, over to Sand Lake Rd and finally to the current end at Destination Pkwy, is absolutely beautiful. Quiet, serene, and meticulously well kept, with signage and trail markers a plenty. I hope Orlando or Orange County will consider improving the first half of this section as they also advance plans to create the next phase of the trail, connecting it to its other part in Kissimmee.

Seminole Wekiva Trail
really awesome trail
I usually park off of markham roads road but honestly the trailer is really nice and a lot of nature. I really appreciate how smooth the asphalt is, no bumps or anything besides sometimes leaves (as to be expected). Pretty solid trail though, I'm trying to find more like it.
Seminole Wekiva Trail
Great Ride but I couldn't follow the path
It was such a beautiful ride but I couldn't follow the bike path with street crossings and all. I wish I had an app that could serve as a guide…I loved the trail so I'll do it again.

Relaxing Trail With Historical Value
While traveling, my wife and I were Pleased to enjoy this entire trail. It features a shared space between a nature preserve and residential area. Trail head also includes a visitor center that was an enjoyable stop as well, learning about the environmental and cultural history of the area. The most exciting aspect was to learn that we were biking along a watershed that is the start of the Everglades.
Shingle Creek Regional Trail (FL)
Not much fun crossing busy streets. We turned around and went home halfway into the ride. Too much work.

Spring to Spring Trail
Green Springs to Sanford
We drove from Vero Beach to the Green Springs Park to ride the Spring to Spring Trail. We headed west on the trail from Green Springs to Gemini Springs. At first I was a little disappointed. The trail ran along side a busy, noisy street. After a few miles we stopped at Gemini Springs and went for a walk around the park and used the restroom. The park was quite nice and it gave us time to regroup. For a moment we contemplated going back East to Green Springs and head on to Maytown but decided to keep going... and so glad we did! We followed the trail to Lake Monroe Park and on over the bridge to Sanford. What a lovely ride along the lake. Our ride roundtrip was roughly 24 miles. We decided to drive back to Sanford for dinner and ended up at the St. John's River Steak and Seafood restaurant with a view of the water. We had a great meal and a glass of wine. We decided to spend the night since the next morning we were going to hike the Orlando Wetlands park. Next time we will come back and ride east on the trail from Green Springs. It is worth the trip for sure!
East Central Regional Rail Trail
Amazing Ride!!
Well maintained Florida's natural beauty at its best. Quiet while riding you truly feel apart of the scenic experience.
Cady Way Trail
Home Base
I purchased a home that backed up to This trail in 2001. As such, I have walked and biked it thousands of times. It doesn't get old. Beautiful, not too crowded, wide. The trail was a lot of shade under large old oaks while in the "Pines," and you can take it East to Oviedo, eating, and a mall or West to Baldwin Park for a quaint downtown bite or drink (brewery, etc.). Further West you can hit another Mall (kind odd…two malls on a trail?) or continue along to downtown Orlando!
Brevard Zoo Linear Park
Arrive early to avoid the crowd on Sunday. We had a good time nonetheless.
